A lovely day painting owls at Herrings Green Farm
A lovely day painting owls at Herrings Green Farm

I had a lovely morning at Herrings Green Farm this week painting owls with a delightful group of people. It was warm but breezy, a beautiful day to get creative and introduce a few more people to the wonders of gouache - someone asked me why it isn't used as much as acrylic and watercolour and I honestly don't know. To me it is the best paint, it has the bright colours of acrylic but it moves like watercolour, definitely my preferred medium!

This week will be the last week of art club with a group of children I have been working with since May half term, so next Monday 3:30 will feel pretty strange, although we will be seeing each other again in September for Clay Club, so it won't be too long!

I've had lots of commissions come in this month, four dogs, three cats and two people! That will keep me out of trouble until the next time at least!
